FLAIR LLC ANNOUNCES PARTIAL LIST OF 2012 HORSE TRIALS SPONSORSHIPS

Flair LLC, makers of the FLAIR® Equine Nasal Strip, is pleased to announce it’s sponsorship of the following Horse Trials and Events:

Red Hills Horse Trials – Currently in it’s 15th year, the Red Hills Horse Trials will be contested March 9 -11, 2012 at the Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park in Tallahassee Florida.

In addition to financial support and prizes for the event, Flair LLC will be giving each competitor a certificate entitling them to 1 Free FLAIR Nasal Strip Application on Cross-Country Saturday. Galway Downs International Spring Horse Trials – The Galway Downs International Horse Trials — contested from March 30 to April 1, 2012 — is one of a series of horse trials organized by Del Mar Events and has become one of the premier series of horse trials of the Western United States.  In addition to financial support and prizes for the event, Flair LLC will give all Galway competitors a certificate entitling them to 1 Free FLAIR Nasal Strip Application on Cross-Country Saturday.  Application certificates will be redeemable at a location near the stabling area, to be announced,.  For more information about Galway Downs and other Del Mar Events, please visit http://www.delmareventing.org

The $1 million final of the V75 interdominion pacing championship is definitely not simply a contest between champions Im Themightyquinn and Smoken Up, according to star New Zealand harness racing reins man Anthony Butt.

“They don’t give these finals away and it’s not a two-horse race by any means,” Butt said after driving New Zealand superstar Auckland Reactor to a convincing victory in the sixth heat of the series at Gloucester Park on Monday night.

Auckland Reactor was the fastest of the four heat winners on the second night of the carnival and after the first eight heats the brilliant seven-year-old, Im Themightyquinn and Smoken Up are the only undefeated pacers in the series…Read more>>

Allison Springer – Eventing

Allison Springer has continually finished in the top ten on the Leading Rider board for The United States Eventing Association. She has been named multiple times on multiple horses to the United States Equestrian Team’s High Performance Training List.

A veteran four-star event rider, trainer, and coach, Allison aspires to represent the United States in Olympic and International competition.In 2011, Allison won the Dubarry award for “best dressed” at Rolex, to go along with her winnings of the Zeppa award for “best turned out” pair at Rolex back-to-back years in 2008 and 2009.

In 2010, Allison was the reserve rider for the U.S. Three Day Eventing Team at the World Equestrian Games, a strong testament to her riding abilities. Allison actively competes across the country and internationally, trains and shows horses for clients, and teaches professional and amateur riders.

Allison’s horsemanship is paramount: her commitment to the well being of the horse yields a system that balances competitive edge with long-term stability in the sport. Allison’s commitment to the sport of Eventing is impressive as well. She is a founding member and sits on the Executive Board of the Professional Riders Organization – a group committed to serving the interests and concerns of professional Event riders competing at the highest levels of the sport (professionalriders.org).

Allison is also a member of the USEA’s Board of Governors and is active in The Professional Horseman’s Council. She is a trendsetter in the Equine industry, being the first rider ever to wear a helmet with a chin strap in the Dressage phase of competition at the prestigious Rolex CCI4* event, standing up for the safety of herself and her peers.

Allison is a certified ICP Level 4 instructor, and coach of the Haitian National Three Day Event Team. If trainer Doug O’Neill had gotten his way, I’ll Have Another would have made his first start in five months in an allowance race.

Instead, he may have a horse for the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum Brands (G1) after J. Paul Reddam’s chestnut Flower Alley colt captured the Robert B. Lewis Stakes (G3) on Saturday at Santa Anita Park at odds of 43.30-to-1.

Laurel: Lacie Slew rallies to victory in Maryland Racing Media

Lacie Slew made a wide move under rider Joe Rocco Jr. leaving the eighth pole and went from fourth in a field of five to the one-length winner of Saturday’s $100,000 Maryland Racing Media Stakes. Maryland Jockey Club/Jim McCue Lacie Slew, with Joe Rocco Jr. riding, wins the Maryland Racing Media.

The 8-1 Pilot Point Lady made the early pace in the 1 1/8-mile Maryland Racing Media, setting fractions of 24.88 seconds, 48.67, and 1:13.01, with the 6-5 favorite, Acting Happy, in close pursuit while Rocco saved ground aboard Lacie Slew. Pilot Point Lady led Acting Happy by a head entering the stretch. Those two bumped a furlong out, and Acting Happy would fade to fourth… Read more>>
